Information about a software issue that prevented documents from being visible to patients
We understand that some of our patients may have been unable to view certain documents (e.g. letters from the hospital) when using online services due to a software problem. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are pleased to inform you that this issue has been resolved; any new documents added to your electronic GP health records will be visible and it may take up to a month for older, affected documents to become visible.
Your GP team will have been able to access the letters, so your care will not have been affected during this time.
Dr Rosemarie Healy
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Dr Rosemarie Healy, GP Partner for over 30 years until 2015 at The Muswell Hill Practice, died on 26th February 2024.
Rosemarie was a much loved and respected doctor here and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
If you knew Dr Healy and would like to pass on any words to her family, please email nclicb.themuswellhillpractice@nhs.net

MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
Measles cases are rising in England this year. If your child is not fully vaccinated, please book in for an appointment with our nurses.
- One vaccine
The MMR vaccine is a single injection that is administered into the thigh of young children or the upper arm of older children or adults. It is a live vaccine which means that it contains weakened versions of measles, mumps and rubella viruses. These have been weakened enough to produce immunity without causing disease.
- Two doses
The MMR vaccine gives long lasting protection with just two doses of the vaccine. The first dose is given at the age of 12 months and the second dose is given at around three years and four months, before starting school. Having both doses gives long lasting protection against measles, mumps and rubella. In adults and older children the two doses can be given with a one month gap between them.
- Three infections
The MMR vaccine protects against three infections; measles, mumps and rubella. These are viral infections that can quickly spread to unprotected children and adults – they spread more easily than flu or the common cold.
Cancer Symptoms and Screening
If you are worried about any unusual symptoms you may be experiencing that could be cancer, please contact your doctor.
You may be offered a telephone, video consultation or a face-to-face appointment. Chances are it is nothing serious, but finding cancer early makes it more treatable.
Long Term Conditions Check
We are improving the way we work with patients with long-term conditions.
Patients living with certain long-term conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney disease will be encouraged to attend a Yearly Health Check.
Watch the short film (right) to see an example of a patient’s journey through the key stages of the process and help you understand what to expect from your Yearly Health Check.
